August 2013 Favorites; Awesome FindsMonday, September 16, 2013
I wanna share my August faves which will featured some of the things from my recent haul post :D Most of the things I got last month ended up to be my favorites, it's quiet rare for me to actually love almost all of the things I purchase haha. Ok lets get started :)
1) Soap & Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel
This one was a gift and I love it instantly! It smells like my favorite Soap & Glory The Righteous Body Butter. I was a bit scared that I wasn't able to use it on a daily basis as it contains mandarin peel extract which is a form of a scrub or peel that might irritated the skin. But, thank god it is very mild and it's perfect for everyday use for me ^^ I noticed my skin feeling moisturised and I smell so good after stepping out of the shower :D Another thing I like that I find funny is the instructions printed at the side, here is what it says:
"Apply a handful of Clean On Me to damp skin (we suggest shutting the shower to prevent it from all just going down the drain), rub it into a thick, luxurious lather and then rinse thoroughly"
It's true! Haha it's such a waste if it goes down the drain.
2) Schwarzkopf Got2B Guardian Angel 220 C Heat Protection Spray (Straightening & Iron Spray)
I have been in the habit of blow drying my hair. Before this I just let my hair air dry and it find that it makes my hair look flat, and ever since I started blow drying my hair, it feels more airy and it gives my hair a little volume :D So a good heat protection spray is a must! I dunno why (maybe it's just me) but it's hard to find anything with the word "heat protection" on it, or maybe it is universally known that the word is not required to be labeled haha. I read a few reviews about this before making a purchase and I am loving it. It has a nice scent but if you over use it the scent can get a little overwhelming. I do see a difference in my hair with or without it. It keeps my hair from being dry and damage from blow drying :)
3) L'Oreal Limited Edition Mythic Oil by Dilek Hanif
I got this at a great deal at Shins last month, it was around RM 60 +-. 2 pumps is more than enough for me. I love everything about it, the smell the packaging the texture. It does make my hair very moisturised and shiny. It's very lightweight (depends on amount use) and a little goes a long way. My hair looks more alive using this, it's definitely worth the hype :)
4) Etude House Nail Polish Peel Base
This is an interesting find. It is a nail polish base that can be easily peeled off along with your nail color. It has pros and cons depending how often you wear nail polish. If you like a temporary wear that easily helps you to remove your nail polish this is great for you. But if you like your nail polish to have a long staying power, this is not the product for you.
5) Etude House Ice Cream Nail Polish in Mint Green
I love this color so much. It's perfect for everyday wear, very cute and girly :D
6) St. Ives Blemish Control Green Tea Scrub
The reason why I bought this was because of the scent! It smells like sweet green tea yummm..... And after a few uses I'm in love! I love the fact that the scrubs is very small and fine, therefore quite gentle on the skin. I have been having a bad breakout lately and this really helps, but if you are very acne prone, scrubs may not be suitable for you.
7) Revlon New Complexion Loose Face Powder in Translucent #02
It has a bit of color but its only visible if you pack it on like cake icing hehe. It's translucent in color and it sets my foundations and concealers beautifully. It's very light so it's great for setting under eye concealers. It is also great for touch ups too! Although I don't carry it around for personal use, but I use this on photo shoots and it photographs beautifully ;)
There you go, my August faves. I hope you enjoyed reading it. Until next time, stay beautiful ^^
