A Mother's Day Surprise! Mivva.com May box Review

I know it's very late >.< but better late than never :P It was a busy month, still very busy actually -.-
And I'm having trouble with the recorded files for this review, I'll see it can be solved soon and will update the video once it's A okay :) I can't save the footage so no video, sorry :(
Last month's was mother's month and to celebrate the number one woman in our lives, Mivva dedicated this month's theme to Mothers :)

So since it is for Mother's day, a lot of subscribers gave this month's edition to their moms, as well as I did, but not everything and of course I added some extra surprise for my mom ^_^ But I didn't use the box though as it was dented and didn't look nice anymore to be presented as a gift x.x
The first thing you will see are of course the product descriptions and vouchers :)
I think it is very sweet of Mivva to surprise us with a Mother's Day card. And you can decorate it how ever you like! Plus, yellow is my mom's favorite color so this is a bonus!
I really like the design of both the Mother's Day card and the product description. It's very vintage and sweet. Classic! It shows the thought that were put into the designs and the details. One of the many reasons why I love Mivva :)
The other surprise from Mivva is a decorative cup that says "Terima Kasih" or Thank You. Another thoughtful gift! And my mom loves collecting these small decorative.

Garden of Eden Jojo E Serum

The one I got is Calendula. I also gave this to my mom and I also tried it once. It's ok, nothing special. The smell is ok, but not my favorite.
Nature's Lab Antioxidant Body Scrub

This one I kept for myself haha. Because I LOVE the smell so much! It smells like iced lemon tea! It's my favorite product in Mivva Box May Edition! Too bad the price is so expensive for a body scrub >.<
O'slee Rosehip Hydra-White Cleansing Powder
RM 49.90 for 55 g
- O’slee Hydra-White Cleansing Powder is a micro-form cleansing powder which contains coconut and cinnamon botanic extracts. It’s deep cleansing can remove blackheads and cuticles without drying the skin. It has pH value of pH 5.5, which is good for healthy skin and helps minimizing skin irritation. Now you can bring cleanser into an aircraft!
This is a unique product, a cleansing powder. I didn't give this to my mom as it is not suitable for her skin type but I didn't keep it to myself either. I gave it to a friend who is having problems with blackheads. She said it takes awhile to get used to using powder as a cleanser. It might be too early to tell but she said she did notice the blackhead is reduced a little.
Aupres Ultimate White Extra Intensive Spot Serum

Aupres Aqua Active Sleeping Mask

I kept both of these for review. It is too soon to tell if the whitening serum works. As for the sleeping mask, I think it is suitable for normal dry to combination skin. My skin has been very dry lately, and I feel that this sleeping mask doesn't give the enough moisture or hydration needed. Both of these products have the same scent, which is quite pleasant.
Somang Danahan RGII Premium EX Deep Wrinkle Line Cream
RM 349.90 for 35 ml
- This botox-like cream is a double functional cream for whitening and deep wrinkles, especially expression lines like around the mouth, forehead and in between the brows. In addition, the cream features a low molecular weight hyaluronic acid which acts a peptide to fill in deep wrinkles and strengthen the skin's barrier.
I gave this to my mom, but when I read Angeline's post on how the cream caused skin irritation to her mom, I took it back. Luckily my mom haven't used it yet. It's still unclear what actually happen, so I'll be holding on to these till I have more information.
Overall, as much as I am happy to keep the products to myself, I am happier to give them to someone I love :) Once again Mivva.com stick true to their theme. However, there are 2 things I don't like about this month's edition. The first is the most important, the box. Yes I really love the new design but the quality has also dropped. The box is soft and can be easily dented. The second is actually not that important, no full size product. I honestly don't mind because I know how hard it is to get full size products.
