If you can't already tell, I am super excited about today's post. I was recently introduced to he Maybank GO Ahead Challenge 2015, which actually have been happening for the past three years! Now it is back, bigger than ever, aiming to break their previous records and provide unexpected challenges to new participants this year!
Ok, before I get way ahead, let me explain what this challenge is about. The Maybank GO Ahead. Challenge (MGAC) is an action-packed, multi-disciplinary fusion of business case study competition and mental and physical challenges. In order to succeed, Challengers must display tenacity, bravery, compassion, astuteness, and stamina, in addition to business acumen and a razor-sharp mind. Since 2012, MGAC is an ongoing annual International Business Case Challenge whereby high potentials, fresh graduates, young professionals from all around the world go head to head to become the Ultimate GO Ahead. Challenger. So basically, it's The Amazing Race, Master Chef and Survivor all in one. The Maybank GO Ahead. Challenge will provide series of intense challenges to the participants to test their skills.
“I won't take the element of surprise out of the production but let me leave you with a hint. Expect the Unexpected,” said Maybank Group Chief Human Capital Officer, Nora Abd Manaf at the SkyPark Hangar, at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang where the official launch of The Maybank GO Ahead. Challenge 2015 was held. It or the whole event may be a hint on what this year's challenge will be. Puan Nora did make a surprise entrance coming out of a helicopter in the SkyPark Hangar.
Last year, MGAC received over 10,000 applicants from 20 nationalities across 50 universities globally. This year, Maybank GO Ahead. Challenge aims to achieve more. This year, their theme is #MoreThanAChallenge, and the format of the competition has been reworked to reflect this. The scope of the Challenge has been widened, recognising the value that candidates outside of traditional banking and finance background represent, and in line with Maybank's goal of Humanising Financial Services. That means, you don't have to come from a business or financial background to participate. Maybank welcomes all students and graduates no matter their field of study.
